https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm37839931This is an orchestral version of my original song Rebirth (featuring Vocaloid Tonio) that I made for my Orchestration class last semester. The school orchestra even sight-read it and I got to record that (although despite it being a college class, there were minors in the orchestra, so I had to pixelate the video recording of them for privacy's sake).
I felt like their performance of the piece was okay, although, as mentioned, they were only sight-reading it (which means that they had never seen nor read the sheet music before, and only had about 10 minutes to rehearse it).
I ended up mixing the recording of the orchestra with the render from the music notation software to get the audio for this video. You can hear some of the band's mistakes because of that, but I felt like it gave a much fuller sound to the overall audio that way.
As always, feel free to let me know what you think. :)
